Phil Trickey

Phil Trickey – Chief Executive Officer

QOREX is the brainchild of Phil Trickey. Phil spent 25 years working in the NHS – including a period at the NHS Information Authority. He was a senior healthcare consultant at Hedra before it was acquired by Mouchel and ran his own healthcare consultancy (Acuity) for 6 years.  He was the Informatics Director at Sutton and Merton PCT where he developed an informatics strategy that was heralded by NHS London, (the SHA), as a model of best practice for the whole of the London Region. As the PCTs merged he was the natural choice to be the Informatics Director for the South West Cluster. He was a key member of the NHS London Informatics Professional Leadership Group which led on informatics strategy for the whole of London.

QOREX is the result of Phil’s experience as full time employee in the NHS and his work in helping NHS organisations and the Welsh Assembly Government to improve their performance when he was with Acuity.

Anna Byrne

Anna Byrne – Partnership Development Director

Anna joined QOREX Ltd in 2017, with a focus on developing relationships with consultancy partners who are (or have the potential to) use QOREX. Anna is an ex management consultant as well as a public sector leader in in both the NHS and civil service.

Anna started her career in the NHS, as a graduate trainee, spending seven years in various general management roles in a hospital, health improvement and organisational development in primary care. All of the NHS roles Anna undertook included leading on projects or programmes to improve public, patient or staff services, during this time Anna achieved a MSc in Healthcare Management. Anna then joined PA Consulting where she worked on government client IT programmes and projects, starting with heading up the PMO, business case and benefits teams, going on to run projects (largest value of £167million).

In 2011 Anna joined the civil service and her roles and achievements included:

  • Head of the PPM profession, running a portfolio of the departments major projects and programmes, providing assurance as well as developing the PPM profession across the core department and its 49 partner organisations.
  • Lead for the Corporate Services Portfolio of projects and programmes resulting in over £200 million of savings, Anna reported to the Finance and Commercial Director General and worked with a Board of the Departments Director Generals and partner organisation CEOs; at the end of the period the savings were achieved.

Anna’s last government role was as a senior civil servant, departmental lead for Digital and Technology Transformation.

Anna gained her APM (Association of Project Management) Registered Project Professional accreditation in November 2016 and Anna is therefore recognised as demonstrating responsible leadership and the competencies necessary for effective project, programme or portfolio management - including the ability to manage a complex project and ability to use appropriate tools, processes and techniques.
